Mainland Exchange Programme for Students “Passing on the Torch” Platform Programme Series: An Exploration into the Conservation and Maritime Silk Road of Hainan Province

Summary

This circular memorandum invites secondary schools to nominate Secondary 4 to 6 students and school teachers (including principals) to participate in the captioned programme.

 

Details

The Education Bureau (EDB) organises the Mainland exchange programme for students entitled “Passing on the Torch” Platform Programme Series: An Exploration into the Conservation and Maritime Silk Road of Hainan Province.  This Programme, in line with the school curriculum, aims at enhancing students’ understanding of the development and achievements of conservation in Hainan Province, as well as the latest development of Hainan Province as part of the of 21st- Century Maritime Silk Road.

 

This 4-day programme is scheduled for 4 to 7 December 2017.  Details and application procedures are attached at Annex 1 to Annex 3 (Chinese version only).

 

Each school can nominate at most two groups of participants (each group consists of 10 Secondary 4 to 6 students and 1 teacher) for the Programme.  Schools can encourage students who have not participated in Mainland exchange programmes before to join the Programme, and all participation is on a voluntary basis.  Interested schools are requested to return the completed application form (Annex 4, Chinese version only) to the Students Mainland Exchange Programme Section of EDB at Room 934, 9/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong on or before 13 October 2017 (Friday).  Late submissions will not be accepted.
