Mainland Exchange Programme for Secondary Students - An Exploration of Guangdong, Guangxi and Shanghai (2017/18)

Aims

 

In alignment with the school curriculum, the Education Bureau (EDB) organises the “Mainland Exchange Programme for Secondary Students - An Exploration of Guangdong, Guangxi and Shanghai (2017/18)” with an aim of providing different learning experiences for students to deepen their understanding of the history, culture, innovative technology, arts, music, sports, natural landscape and environmental protection as well as economic development in the Mainland.

 

 

 

Details

 

EDB has commissioned a service provider to organise the 8 routes in the period between November 2017 and August 2018.  The trips range from two to four days.  These 8 routes include 6 in Guangdong Province, 1 in Guangxi and 1 route in Shanghai.  Please refer to Annex 1 of the circular memorandum (Chinese version only) for details.  A brief summary of the study routes is listed below:

Schools may apply for joining more than one of the above routes between November 2017 and August 2018.  Schools can encourage students who have not participated in Mainland exchange programmes before to join.  Participation of students is on a voluntary basis.  The itineraries and other information of these 8 routes are listed at Annex 2 of the circular memorandum (Chinese version only).

 

 

 

Application Method

 

Schools, which would like to nominate their students to participate in the Programme, should download the application form from the website of the service provider.  The completed application form should be returned to the service provider by fax within the specified period of time before the departure of the trip which the school intends to join [please refer to Annex 1 of the circular memorandum (Chinese version only)].
