Details

Nansha and Qianhai are important places for implementing our country’s economic reforms and fostering Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation.  The Education Bureau (EDB) organises the “Mainland Exchange Programme - An Exploration into the Economic Development and Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation in Nansha and Qianhai (2017/18)” (the Programme) with the aim of providing students with life-wide learning experiences to complement the curriculum, enhancing their understanding of the economic development in these two places as well as Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation.

EDB has commissioned a service provider to conduct this one-day programme in the period between October 2017 and August 2018.  Details of the Programme and the application procedures are attached at Annex 1 and Annex 2 in the Circular Memorandum (Chinese version only).

Each school can nominate a maximum of 176 participants (160 S3 to S6 students and 16 teachers).  Schools can encourage students who have not participated in Mainland exchange programmes before to join the Programme, and all participation is on a voluntary basis.  Interested schools can download the application form from the website of the service provider, and return the completed application form to the service provider by fax at least three weeks prior to the departure of the study trip they intend to join.
