The Education Bureau (EDB) organises the Mainland exchange programme for students entitled “An Exploration into the History, Culture and Ecology of Sichuan (Primary Schools)”. This Programme, in line with the school curriculum, aims at enhancing students’ understanding of the historical heritage and natural ecosystems of Sichuan, their appreciation of the local traditional art, custom, life and culture, and their reflection on the importance of conservation in Sichuan.

The Programme will be conducted during the period between November 2017 and August 2018. The trip lasts for four days. Please refer to Annex 1 in the Circular Memorandum (Chinese version only) for details.

Schools may apply for joining the Programme within the 2017/18 school year. Each school can nominate a maximum of 88 participants (80 students and 8 teachers) for the Programme. Schools can encourage students who have not participated in Mainland exchange programmes before to join the Programme and all participation is on a voluntary basis. The itineraries and other information of the Programme are listed at Annex 2 in the Circular Memorandum (Chinese version only).

EDB has commissioned a service provider to conduct the Programme. Interested schools can download the application form from the website of the service provider, and return the completed application form to the service provider by fax at least 12 weeks prior to the departure of the study trip they intend to join.
