National Defense Education Experience Camp (2019/20)
Details
The Education Bureau (EDB) organises the “National Defense Education Experience Camp” (the Camp). The Camp aims at developing students’ self-discipline, perseverance and team spirit, strengthening students’ understanding of national defense and the legal system in the Mainland, as well as enhancing their life skills and planning for the future. Three identical 5-day camps will be held in Zhongshan with schedules as follows:

Details and application procedures are attached at Annex 1 to Annex 3 in the Circular Memorandum(Chinese version only).
The Camp mainly caters for students who have positive learning attitude and are active in participating in competitions/services inside/outside the school. Each school can nominate at mostfour groups of participants (each group consists of 10 Secondary 2 to Secondary 5 students and 1 teacher) for the Camp and encourage students who have not participated in Mainland exchange programmes before to join the Camp, and all participation is on a voluntary basis.
Interested schools are requested to return the completed application form(s) (Annex 4, Chinese version only) to the Students Mainland Exchange Programme Section of the EDB by fax (3104 0716) on or before 25 October 2019 (Friday) [for participating in Camp A] or on or before 15 January 2020 (Wednesday) [for participating in Camp B and Camp C]. Late submissions will not be accepted.
