Mainland Exchange Programme for Student Leaders (2019/20)
Details
The Education Bureau (EDB) organises Mainland Exchange Programme for Student Leaders (the Programme) each year. The Programme aims at broadening students’ horizons, enhancing their understanding of our country and its development, as well as strengthening their understanding of the attributes leaders should possess.
The Programme consists of the following 2 study tours to be held in Beijing (Tour A) / Beijing and Hebei (Tour B).
Tour A: 27 - 31 December 2019 (Quota:200 students & 20 teachers)
Tour B: 14 - 18 April 2020 (Quota:240 students & 24 teachers)
Details and application procedures are attached at Annex 1 to Annex 3 in the Circular Memorandum (Chinese version only).
Each school can nominate at most ten Secondary 5 students and six school teachers (five Secondary 5 students and three school teachers for each tour) for the Programme. Schools having both student and teacher nominations will have their students given higher priority in the selection process. Schools can encourage students who have not participated in Mainland Exchange Programmes before to join the Programme, and all participation is on a voluntary basis.
Interested schools are required to complete and return the application form(s) for students and/or teachers (Annex 4 and/or Annex 5 in the Circular Memorandum, Chinese version only) by mail to the Students Mainland Exchange Programme Section of EDB at Room 934, 9/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen’s Road East, Wanchai on or before 15 October 2019 (Tuesday). Late submission will not be accepted.
