Mainland Exchange Programme for Students An Exploration into the Conservation, Technology and Maritime Silk Road of Hainan Province (2019/20)

Summary

 

This circular memorandum invites secondary schools to nominate Secondary 3 to 6 students and school teachers (including principals) to participate in the captioned programme.

 

Details

 

The Education Bureau (EDB) organises the Mainland exchange programme for students entitled “An Exploration into the Conservation, Technology and Maritime Silk Road of Hainan Province (2019/20)” (the Programme).  In line with the curriculum, the Programme aims to enhance students’ understanding of the development and achievements of conservation and technology in Hainan Province as well as the latest development of Hainan Province as an important part of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.  Students can also understand the learning lives of the local students.

 

This 5-day programme is scheduled for 11 to 15 November 2019.  Details and application procedures are attached at Annex 1 to Annex 3 (Chinese version only).

 

Each school can nominate at most two groups of participants (each group consists of 10 Secondary 3 to 6 students and 1 teacher) for the Programme.  Schools can encourage students who have not participated in any Mainland exchange programmes before to join this Programme, and all participation is on a voluntary basis.  Interested schools are requested to return the completed application form (Annex 4, Chinese version only) to the Students Mainland Exchange Programme Section of the EDB by fax (3104 0716) on or before 31 May 2019 (Friday).  Late submissions will not be accepted.
