Mainland Exchange Programme for Students An Exploration into the History, Culture, Natural Resources and Conservation in Ningxia (2019/20)

Summary
This circular memorandum invites secondary schools to nominate Secondary 3 to 6 studentsand school teachers (including principals) to participate in the captioned programme.


Details
The Education Bureau (EDB) organises the Mainland exchange programme for students entitled “An Exploration into the History, Culture, Natural Resources and Conservation in Ningxia(2019/20)” (the Programme). In line with the curriculum, the Programme aims to enhance students’ understanding of the history and culture of Ningxia, to experience the natural landscape of Huang He and desert as well as to understand the opportunities and challenges in developing our country’s natural resources.


This Programme consists of the following 2 identical 5-day study tours.
Tour A: 15 – 19 October 2019 (Quota: 80 students and 8 school teachers)
Tour B: 23 – 27 June 2020 (Quota: 80 students and 8 school teachers)

Each school can nominate at most two groups of participants (each group consists of 10 Secondary 3 to 6 students and 1 teacher) for the Programme. Schools can encourage students who have not participated in any Mainland exchange programmes before to join this Programme, and all participation is on a voluntary basis. Interested schools are requested to return the completed application form (Annex 4, Chinese version only) to the Students Mainland Exchange Programme
Section of the EDB by fax (3104 4804) on or before 6 June 2019 (Thursday). Late submissions will not be accepted.
