Mainland Exchange Programme for the 65th Anniversary - Passing on the Torch

“Passing on the Torch Platform” Programme Series: An Exploration into the History, Culture and Development of Innovative Technologies in Tianjin and Chengde 2019/20

Summary

This circular memorandum invites secondary schools and special schools to nominate Secondary 3 to Secondary 5 students and teachers (including principals) to participate in the captioned programme.

 

Details

The Education Bureau (EDB) organises ‘“Passing on the Torch Platform” Programme Series: An Exploration into the History, Culture and Development of Innovative Technologies in Tianjin and Chengde 2019/20’ (the Programme) which aims at providing life-wide learning experiences for students to enhance their understanding of the history and culture of Tianjin and Chengde as well as the development and achievement of innovative technologies of our country.

This is a 5-day programme scheduled for 14 to 18 April 2020 in Tianjin and Chengde.  Details and application procedures are attached at Annex 1 to Annex 3(Chinese version only)

Each school can nominate at most two groups of participants (each group consists of 10 Secondary 3 to Secondary 5 students and 1 teacher) for the Programme.  Schools can encourage students who have not participated in Mainland exchange programmes before to join.  Participation of students is on a voluntary basis

Interested schools are requested to return the completed application form(s) (Annex 4, Chinese version only) to the Students Mainland Exchange Programme Section of the EDB by fax (3104 0716) on or before 17 January 2020 (Friday).  Late submissions will not be accepted.
