An Exploration into the Economic Development and Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation in Nansha and Qianhai 2019/20

Summary
This circular memorandum invites secondary schools and special schools to nominate Secondary 3 to Secondary 6 students and teachers (including principals) to participate in the captioned programme.

 

Details
The Education Bureau (EDB) organises “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Exploration Series: An Exploration into the Economic Development and Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation in Nansha and Qianhai” (the Programme). The Programme aims at providing students with life-wide learning experiences and enhancing their understanding of the economic plan of the Mainland, especially the economic development in the cities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area as well as Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation.

 

The EDB has commissioned a service provider to organise this one-day programme between September 2019 and August 2020. Students from Secondary 3 to Secondary 6 may participate. Please refer to Annex 1 (Chinese version only) for details of the Programme and application procedures and Annex 2 (Chinese version only) for the itinerary and other information of this Programme.


Schools may apply for joining this programme within the 2019/20 school year and encourage students who have not participated in Mainland exchange programmes before to join. Participation of students is on a voluntary basis.


Schools which would like to nominate their students to participate in the Programme should download the application form from the website of the service provider. The completed application form should be returned to the service provider by fax at least three weeks prior to the departure of the trip which the school intends to join.
